Katherine Whitlock

Born and raised in Covington, Louisiana, Katie Whitlock received her undergraduate degree in Secondary English Education as well as her master’s degree in Special Education (Mild/Moderate) from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership, also at Southeastern. Katie began her career in Ascension Parish at St. Amant High School, but quickly became homesick and moved back to St. Tammany. She taught all levels of high school English as well as Option 3 ELA at Covington High School, Operation Jumpstart, and Slidell High School. Most recently, she served as the district secondary English curriculum specialist, servicing the teachers of grades 6-12.

Katie is a firm believer that education starts from the heart. She is so excited to be a part of the Fontainebleau Junior High family, where the entire faculty and staff shares this belief!
