UPDATED NEWS - Nov. 17th
Fontainebleau’s National Junior Honor Society
has been busy with several activities. NJHS has been helping out
in the community.
First, we acquired a food bank collection, in which we were quite
successful. We received ten boxes filled with items for Thanksgiving
baskets. In addition, we also collected over $250 for the
Food Bank of Covington. Next, we were involved in a fundraiser
for the Parenting Center called Monster Mash. We went to the Bogue
Falaya Park early on a Saturday morning, and we were placed at
a station. Each station had a different theme, and the kids that
attended came by to play your station. There were so many things
for the children to do and it was a ton of fun helping the kids!
The upcoming events that NJHS hopes to take part in are: collecting
beads and pull tabs. We are gathering the beads for The Kids Kicking
Cancer program to help those with cancer. These kids are so great
and we would like to help them out. Members will deliver the beads
in time for their annual Christmas parade.
We are also going to be compiling the pull tabs again for the
Ronald McDonald House. Everyone should try to participate because
there will be a contest after Christmas. Please begin saving up
your soda tabs and find some Mardi Gras beads around the house
to send to school.
If anyone has any ideas on any activities or services
that we can do, we would like you to present those ideas to either
Mrs. Meyer at jenay.meyer@stpsb.org or Mrs. Beshenich @ Kristi.Beshenich@stpsb.org.
You may also contact them at the school at 875-7501.
